Ball Season

Posted by
Michael Rawluk (Williams Lake, BC, Canada) on 12 April 2008 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

Near a ball diamond, a ball so swollen from damp that it has split its seams, quietly waits for the chance to play.
A Moment in Photographic History:
Imogen Cunningham was born April 12 , 1883 in Portland, Oregon. This USAnian photographer was best known for her photography of botanicals and nudes. She bought her first camera, a 4x5 view camera at 18 and five years later she became inspired by the work of Gertrude Kasebier and became serious about photography. In 1907 she went to work with Edward S. Curtis in his Seattle studio.
A Photographic Quote of Note:
The seeing eye is the important thing.
