Holding On

Posted by
Michael Rawluk (Williams Lake, BC, Canada) on 15 September 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual.

While I stood on loose boulders that felt like they could send me plunging to my death (just kidding, Colette), I shot a few photographs of this little tree that somehow managed to get a toe hold in a boulder and miraculously made a life there with no visible signs of soil.
I didn't manage to get a very good shot but I thought I would post it anyway considering the threat to life and limb.
It was either post it or drive 8 hours for a re-shoot.

you did well to post it, cause it's a funny picture. it has something of a miniature landscape and proportionally it's rather misleading as it's hard to imagine the tree's real size.

No MIchael.. you did a very good job with this one. The dof works very well to isolate the little tree. Well done!!
