A Moment in Photographic History:
Happy birthday to Oscar Barnack who was born November 1, 1879. Barnack designed the first commercially available 35mm camera. Although he developed the prototype of the Leica camera in 1913, two years after joining the Leitz optical company, further development of the camera was stopped by World War One. The Leica (short for Leitz camera) was an immediate hit when introduced at the 1925 Leipzig, Germany Spring Fair.

A Photographic Quote of Note:
Through the use of strong composition and subject elimination, I attempt to create images that are pleasing to the eye but also have an element of mystery—to challenge the viewer to look a little closer.

All Images are Copyright ©Michael Rawluk. Just thought I would say that although why anyone would want to use them is beyond me. Well, Colette Amelia does on occasion but she always gives me a kiss after. So, if you want to use an image ... we can work something out ;-)
