A Moment in Photographic History:
Irish portrait photographer James Lafayette (James Stack Lauder) died August 20, 1923). He specialized in society photographs. I think my favourite is of Sarah-Bernhardt when she played Hamlet ( a performance I would have loved to have seen.)
