The city complains about air pollution from idling vehicles but continues to allow drive through convenience. - A Moment in Photographic History: Born on April 9, 1830, Eadweard J. Muybridge was an English photographer known primarily for his early use of multiple cameras to capture motion . He is the guy who proved that horses have all hooves off the ground at the same time while running. - A Photographic Quote of Note: A good photograph is like a good hound dog, dumb, but eloquent. - - - - - - Eugene Atget

Yes, but did the person leave their car running? That's what would happen here.

The 'walk-ups' are truly 'green machines' in more than one way! BTW, did you nab her PIN? ;-)

Yeah, drive-thru convenience and air-pollution are two different things in many people's mind. In many mountain cities in Switzerland you even have to shut off your car engine when waiting at a red light, and if you don't it will cost you...... Ironic that it says "green machine" !

Super crisp detail; excellent monochrome ... I wonder if the bank has liability issues with walk-ups at the drive-through?

great shot! excellent title too. very observant of you and well captured as well of course.
Great social commentary shot Michael!.....how tempted were you to leave the 'green macine' label in it's original (presumably) green colour?

You're always prepared for a shot Michael, great timing and capture with this one.

Nice composition for a funny street scene (and probably very usual one). I remember when the first drive through pillar boxes were introduced... nobody understood how to use them. By the way, before your picture, I did not even imagine the existence of drive through ATMs... I am so candid

Ain't that the truth, Michael! How about those farmers, oil patch workers, et al who INSIST they HAVE to leave their diesel truck idling in the middle of the summer for hours, seriously, for hours at a time.(she muses shaking her head in wonder). Great capture! I think it may be a metaphor for our near future.
