A Photographic Process in History:
Did you know that Joseph Swan patented the Carbon Print in 1864. Carbon prints were an exquisite permanent image with no grain and had a wide tonal range. The process involved printing negatives onto a "tissue" containing carbon and other pigments in a gelatin base. The gelatin had previously been made light-sensitive by a bath of potassium bichromate. After washing, the image on the tissue was transferred to a paper base and the backing of the tissue was stripped off.

A Photographic Quote of Note:

Desperate Images and Existential Existence
All Images are Copyright ©Michael Rawluk. Just thought I would say that although why anyone would want to use them is beyond me. Well, Colette Amelia does on occasion but she always gives me a kiss after. So, if you want to use an image ... we can work something out ;-)
