A Photographic "Did You Know":
Ukrainian Photographer Arthur Fellig who worked in New York City had, as one of his first jobs, the task of removing excess water from prints in the darkroom at the New York Times. This gained him the nickname of "Squeegee Boy"...which eventually became "Weegee" (and which he pronounced "Wee-chee"!)
