Oh, yes! Confucius is most right.....I wouldn't have taken a second look at this bug! But your astute observation turned it into a bug with a heart, even though it wears it on its back! Capture is excellent and the background colour suits the subject!

Michael, why, oh why, did I open your site just before going to bed? The photography is beautiful, it really is but now I have an image of a crawling insect on my mind, heart or no heart, he's there to bore his way into my dreams. I had to go to Existential Existence and find old photos of non scary things to look at.

This is a great shot, but how did you ever see that heart? Appropriate quote!

Very interesting bug, but the textures of the surface where it's crawling around are nice too!

Interesting, Michael. I want you to know I don't do bugs and this took every ounce of my being to leave you this nice comment to let you know your photo is nicely composed:-)

I've changed my mind because I didn't have any bad dreams. This really is a beautiful shot, the detail is amazing. You really should photograph for calendars or for science textbooks.

Don't think that I have ever come across a love bug - cool capture. The texture and pigment of the surface the bug is resting resembles skin!
