A Moment in Photographic History:
Alphonse-Louis Poitevin was died March 4, 1882 at 63 years of age. This photographer, chemical engineer, and inventor became known for his use of carbon printing and photolithography, both photomechanical processes which he developed. By the mid-1850s he was working as a printer for many other photographers including the famous Nadar.
