The name of their nation was Anglicized to Chilcotin. I believe these guys were from the Tl'etinqox band.
They were fishing at Farewell Canyon catching salmon in September, 1976. Notice the rope around his waist to prevent him from being dragged into the raging water.
This was shot on Kodachrome.
