I love these little places that paint their walls to attract customers. Great capture, Michael!

This store is located in the old mining town of Wells B.C. The store is located off the main Hwy. There are only about 100 year round residents living there. Most of the buildings were built in the mining heydays of the 1930 and 40's and aren't as well taken care of as this one. As a matter of fact, right across the street and behind the camera's point-of-view is an old 1950's style gas service station gone to wrack and ruin, now just used as personal storage by the owner. It's sad to say, but many of the buildings are the same way, just decaying as the long years roll by. There's always talk of a revival of mining concerns and new money pouring in, but it's just talk. Wells is like an old lady, settling in to make the best of her old age, and reminising of the glory days of long ago.
